The ascent of Pike Peak Trek is an ideal trek for those who want a taste of the Khumbu region then. Lying just to the south of the Everest Trail we pass through authentic Sherpa villages. From the Linkhu Khola we steadily climb through terraced fields, then rhododendron and magnolia forest. We now leave villages behind us and ascend further through hemlock firs to the cheese factory at Ngaur. The following day the summit of Pike Peak reveals panoramic views of the Rolwaling Himal, Everest and Makalu.
