TAPLEJUNG: The Pathivara Temple Conservation Committee has targeted to bring in 200,000 tourists in Pathivara area during the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY-2011).
The area, a famous religious site and tourist destination, is rich in biological diversities and natural beauty.
The committee has decided to work together with hoteliers to arrange for food and lodging for tourists coming for Pathivara visit during the NTY-2011.
The Taplejung District Development Committee, Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council, Federation of the Community Forest Users Nepal, Nepal Tourism Board and several non government organizations are cooperating with the committee so as to meet the target.
The committee formed in the local-level launched a home visit campaign in different Terai districts including Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari this month, requesting the people for Pathivara visit.
