KATHMANDU: The 42-member delegation led by Prasiddha Bahadur Pandey, president of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), has returned from Malaysia where it had a series of business meetings in connection with Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
A meeting between Dato Sri Ng Yen and Prassidha Bahadur Pandey focused on upcoming flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu by Malaysian Airlines and Air Asia. HAN signed an MoU with Malaysia Nepal Business Council (MNBC) to enhance cooperation in hospitality and tourism trade between the two countries.
An MoU was also signed between HAN and Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) during the half-yearly meeting of HAN.
The MoU signed between HAN and MAH is expected to create cordial environment of joint investment in the tourism sector and also provide employment and spread skills in their respective countries.
The association organised one-to-one B2B meeting with the leading travel and tour operators of Malaysia that focused on increasing tourist-flow between the two countries.
The HAN delegation in collaboration with Nepal Embassy, Malaysia, Nepal Malaysia Chamber of Commerce, NRN Malaysia and Nepal Tourism Board visited Kuala Lumpur on October 7 as part of a promotion strategy for NTY 2011.
They also discussed the importance and significance of NTY 2011 organising press meets with leading Malaysian dailies and magazines.
