NAWALPARASI: Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharat Singh Bhandari has said on Tuesday that the government is working for tourism promotion identifying new tourism places to make Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011 successful.
The government launched NTY 2011 to develop tourism as a profession of the general masses, he said speaking at a function organised in Gaidakot of Nawalparasi today.
Saying that tourism is an important sector for economic and social transformation in the country, he said all people should work for the promotion and publicity of various places that have immense tourism potential.
Trivenidham, Devghatdham, and Maulakalika can be developed as the places of religious tourism, he said, adding that the government will work with the stakeholders for the development of these areas.
