A 19-member team led by Biplop Poudel, president of Paschimanchal Hotel Association (PHA) is set to visit Kunming of China as part of promoting the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY-2011) campaign in January 15.
The team comprises members from PHA and NTY-2011 Implementing Committee of Paschimanchal, which has been formed to promote NTY-2011 internationally, and to boost bilateral tourism relation and economic-cultural relation.
According to a press release issued by PHA on Tuesday, during their visit to Kunmng the team is also set to hold meeting with Chinese tourism entrepreneurs, and government officials.
The team organized the visit under the theme “Pokhara pure and perfect campaign” in order to promote the tourism year as well as Pokhara, a famous tourists’ hub internationally.
The team believes that the visit will be fruitful in education, heath, and economic sector of both the country.
It is also expected that the two flights a week in Kathmandu-Kunming-Kathmandu route will help to increase the flow of Chinese tourists into Nepal.
Nepal has been witnessing Chinese tourist’s increment of 20 to 25 percent every year. Mostly the tourists from China are seen visiting Nepal between February to March.
Nepal and China has also already signed an agreement to establish sisterly relation between Pokhara sub-metropolitan city and Kunming city, added the press statement. nepalnews.com
