Guerrilla Trek is newly explored trail that passes through the districts of Myagdi, Baglung , Rukum and Rolpa. Guerrilla trek offers Scenic Himalayan range, thick Rhododendron forests, birds, rivers, hills and mountains and vast  Dhorpatan regions the only hunting reseve in Nepal. Guerilla Trek is adventure in a remote and unexplored part of Nepal where nature’s beauty is at its best and regions where Nepal's history of Nepal's ten years revolution sprung up. Particularly rolpa and rukum has been also known as the epicenter of people's revolution and the trails were once used by guerrilla during ten-years-long revolution (1996-2006).

The most fascinating highlights of the trek is a great walk through the history of the Maoists’ People’s Movement. The Guerrilla Trekking is characterized by moderately difficult by steep uphill and downhill terrains.

Guerrilla Trekking through the region will provide great opportunity to discover Magar Shamanism culture and various other ethnic groups,undiluted people’s lifestyles, people’s wars history and places, pasture lands, magnificent Dhorpatan regions with dense pine tree forests. Explore Lumbini Lord Budhha’s Birth place.

        A steady walk about  to 8 hours and on the way hot water spring. Trek follow steady walking trail along Myagdi khola. A small town of Darbang where mostly Thakali homestay and lodges available.

          Passing through Rhododendron forests, green fields of  plums were all along the way.
          Thabang (1950m) a cluster of  houses mainly Magar settlement  is in Rolpa district. We were very excited. Thabang lies at the confluence of two rivers.  It was headquarters during the Maoists’ People’s Movement. Thabang as a tourist village where homestay facilities is available. It has stone pavements, Magar culture and history of people's movement.
          People are welcoming, and friendly. The ruins from the period of the Maoist insurgency can be seen even today

          Darbang -Takam
          After three hours crossing the suspension bridge over the Myagdi River, reached the village of Dharapani. One  could see the Dhaulagiri and Gurja Himal peaks.

          Takam, at 1,665 m crossing  Dharapani village and headed on a moderate uphill walk of another three hours. Takam has lodges and homestay facilities. 

            Takam to Lamsung or Mareni  

            The trek journey progressed along   green terraces of the hills, tall mountains and thick forests. We picked wild raspberries on the way to Lamsung which has magars and biswokarma settlement.

              Lamsung or Mareni-Chhyantung (Dhorpatan)

              it is a steep and high  3 -4 hours uphill walk, which led us to crossing Mareni – a village with only three households. It is better to stop at Mareni than Lamsung to start early to cross high steep trek. We Hiking through deep rhododendron forests, to Myagdi’s Jaljala, located(3,420) from where you will have beautiful dhaulagiri ranges.

                Dhorpatan – Thankur

                Dhorpatan is hunting reserve, a nice valley. Uttarganga river originated and flow down to become Saano bheri in Rukum.
                A long day walk from chhyantung , trekking uphill journey and seeing beautiful annpurna, dhaulagiri , dogra, putha himal , the highest pass Falgune dhuri ( 3975m) and trek down for couple of hours to small valley of Thankur. One or two homestay fascility is available but people move during high snow season.

                  Thankur  – Pelma

                  The trek lead through oak forests, crossing suspension bridges, few villages , finally reached Kayamdanda. You can either take short cut route left and reach Pelma .If one is interested take long way crossing Syano Jharlung and thulo jharlung will have chance to deep in hot water springs.
                  Finally overnight stay at Pelma, a small village settlement of Magar and dalit. Few guesthouses are available.

                    A long steady walk about 6-7 hours along the steep trail , wonderful hills and mountaing,crosses few villages. 
                    Maikot (2350m) a hillock village with healthposts, schools, shops with Pun Magar settlement and dalit. A good village stay with rich cultural heritage can be experienced.

                      Couple of downhill trek and 45 mins will pass Hukam village. Or you can directly follow the river bank to reach Mayang village, a rich thakuri village. One can stay here but you can proceed till dimburgaira.

                        Steep up and down trek reaching Okhma village. One can stay in people's home at night.

                          Crossing Dharmasala, one can continue the journey , crossing Kol village to reach Birgum a village with settlement of Gurung, Dalit, Chhantyal and Thakali.

                            Birgam - Taksera

                            Continuing the trail as before, crossing bachhigaon, will reach Takasera. Taksera, an ethnic Magar settlement village. The village has healtpost, schools, local shops , telephone.their important cultural traditions include Bhumi Puja, Bala Puja and Rake Parva.

                              Takasera- Lukum

                              The closer we got to the previous conflict-affected regions. We steep bare hills uphill trek is tough trek. Our group stopped at the Lukum Pass( 3,100 meters). Four hour downhill, steep trek  reached another beauitufl Lukumgau. Another magar communities with adjacent houses built with stone roof, cluster of houses .
                              Within two hours, we were at Rujikhola (2,225m) the difficult terrains where The Maoists had planned their attack on Beni.
