After morning breakfast we drive out along the north-western hills of Kathmandu. Enjoy the Himlayan views and mountainous lifestyle through the terraced fields and rustic villages. Take Lunch at the Trishuli Bazar before continuing further to  Dhunche. From Dhunche, we descent down to Syabrubesi.

This is our first day of trekking today.  Follow the Langtang Khola River. Pass through the dense forests.   Cross several suspension bridges. We also pass by a tea houses.  The trail goes up and down but it's not that challenging.

After taking morning tea, we embark our second day of the journey. Our trail continues along dense forests. After making a steady climb up through the valley, we leave the tree line behind us. Enjoy the marvelous views of Langtang Lirung.  Pass by water mills, prayer wheels, chortens, with sacred mounds of rocks with inscriptions carved on them.  Also pass the largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them. The prayers written on the mani wall is supposed to be blown away by the wind.  Cross several of the wooden bridges.

Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin (3870m.) which takes about three hours. The trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more extensive. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyanjin. Here, there is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. We should arrive at Kyanjin by lunch time allowing time to acclimatize and explore the area. It is a dramatic setting, with snow covered peaks surrounding us in all directions. At this point, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Larpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.), Langtang Lirung (7245m.) and so on.

After taking morning tea and breakfast,we get out of the village and pass on through yak pastures and start for hiking to Chyakhure.Since, we are really getting into the high altitudes, you might start feeling the thin air. afternoon return to Kanjin Gompa- surrounded by the Himalayas all around. The trail goes all the way down hill through forest following the river. Pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements who follow religious and cultural  practices similar to the Tibetans.

After breakfast, we trek down to Syabrubensi, about 5 hours walk. Enjoy the easy trail mostly downhill through lush green vegetation.Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabru Besi via Sherpa Gaon which takes about five to six hours. The upper part of the trail is more beautiful for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views. This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Shepra and Tamang villages. The first half part of the trail is gradually down and then the trail does steeply descent to the Syabru Besi (1600m.). There was run a project called Chilime Power Plant. The main inhabitants belong to Tamang community and they have adopted Tibetan lifestyle.

Our trek begins today by descending through forest, down to the Trisuli River.  This water runs from the Gosainkunda Lake, which is holy to Hindus and Buddhists.  After crossing a suspension bridge, there is a steep climb beside a stream and up the mountainside to the village of Braccaka. The village is steeped in Sherpa culture and traditions. We will continue on, skirting around a ridge, leading to fields, climbing at a steady pace. We'll stop for lunch in the village of Brabel where there is a beautiful view of the Ganesh Mountain (7000m). Moving along the trail leads you to Syabru village where we will spend the night.

Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by bus, which takes about eight hours. You drive through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Kathmandu. The first part of your drive up to Trishuli Bazaar is through gravel and bumpy road and then well paved road up to Kathmandu.

                          Langtang Valley 9-day Trip

We did a wonderful trekking in Langtang Valley. The views were fantanstic even though the weather wasn't always good (rainy season). The highlight was to summit Kyangjing Ri (4773 m). Our guide, Dawa Sherpa, was all you could hope for. He took amazing care of us and even carried fruits along the whole trek for us to enjoy. Raj, the company owner, was incredibly helpful during our entire stay in Nepal and helped us out with any questions or issues that came up. We made a new friend in him.
We will definitely come back and book our next trek with A1 Excursions again!
