Lower Guerrilla Trek is newly explored trail that passes through the districts of Rukum, Rolpa, Myagdi and Baglung. Lower Guerrilla trek offers scenic Himalayan range, thick Rhododendron forests, birds, rivers, hills and mountains and vast Dhorpatan regions the only hunting reserve in Nepal. Lower Guerrilla Trek is adventure in a remote and unexplored part of Nepal where nature’s beauty is at it's best and regions where Nepal's history of "Nepal's ten years revolution" sprung up. Particularly Rolpa and Rukum has been also known as the epicenter of people's revolution and the trails were once used by Guerrilla during ten-years-long revolution (1996-2006).

The most fascinating highlights of the trek is a great walk through the history of the Maoists’ People’s Movement. The Lower Guerrilla Trek is characterized by moderately difficult by steep uphill and downhill terrains. Trekking through the region will provide great opportunity to discover Magar cultures and various other ethnic groups, undiluted people’s lifestyles, people’s wars history and places, pasture lands, magnificent Dhorpatan regions with dense pine tree forests. Lower Guerrilla Trekking Trail is also very famous for Magar Shamanism culture as well as Bhumi puja. Bhumi Puja means worshipping to the Earth (land) for betterment of upcoming season's crops. Bhumi puja is always celebrated during the mid June till 1 week. Shamanism culture and Bhumi puja are the major attractions of Lower Guerrilla Trekking Trail.

            Passing through Rhododendron forests, green fields of plums were all along the way. 
            Thabang (1950m) a cluster of houses mainly Magar settlement is in Rolpa district. We were very excited. Thabang lies at the confluence of two rivers.  It was headquarters during the Maoists’ People’s Movement. Thabang as a tourist village where homestay facilities is available. It has stone pavements, Magar culture and history of people's movement. Local People will welcoming, and friendly. The ruins from the period of the Maoist insurgency can be seen even today

                      Community Home stay Dhorpatan is hunting reserve, a nice valley. Uttarganga Rive originated and flow down to become Saano bheri in Rukum.
                      A long day walk from chhyantung , trekking uphill journey and seeing beautiful annpurna, dhaulagiri , dogra, putha himal , the highest pass Falgune dhuri ( 3975m) and trek down for couple of hours to small valley of Thankur. One or two homestay fascility is available but people move during high snow season.
                       

                              Singha Tatopni 2 hrs and stay overnight Beni is headquarters of Myagdi, a Bazar with hotels, remittances, shopping can be done. It is also gateway to Muktinath, dhaulagiri and dolpa trek. Over night stay in Beni.
