Visit Nepal 2020 is a grand celebration declared by the Government of Nepal to promote Nepalese Tourism in the global arena. Visit Nepal 2020 is a succession of Visit Nepal 1998 and Tourism Year 2011, for uplifting the economy of the nation. Although the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) had announced the Visit Nepal 2018 campaign in 2015, the campaign was later postponed until 2020. Due to the massively destructive Gorkha Earthquake in 2015, NTB publicized Visit Nepal 2020 to carry on the reconstruction projects.

Visit Nepal 2020 slogan is “Lifetime Experiences” which means you gain lifetime experiences witnessing natural beauty and cultural diversity. Along with the world-famous touristy destinations and entertaining activities available in Nepal, the Government of Nepal has introduced some new destinations. Visit Nepal 2020 aims to bring better changes in the lives of Nepalese under the poverty line. Promoting Nepal as a new tourist destination and expansion of tourism services and products are the objectives of Visit Nepal 2020.

To meet the challenges of Visit Nepal 2020, the Government of Nepal has already started publicity in the international tourism market. It has conducted Visit Nepal 2020 campaigns in most of the European countries, SAARC countries, and other parts of the world. Visit Nepal's 2020 motto is to maintain the age-old concept of ‘Guests are God!’ in providing the best possible hospitality to them. The government of Nepal has already added up to quality hotels, restaurants, and lodges to meet the increasing number of tourists.

The government of Nepal has aimed to double the usual number of one million tourists to two million in Visit Nepal 2020. To manage the increased number of tourists, the Government of Nepal has inspired the private sector to invest in the Nepalese tourism industry. For the grand success of this greatest festival of Nepalese Tourism, the government and the tourism department of Nepal have worked together. They have already printed the Visit Nepal 2020 logo and T-shirts in bulk amounts to popularize this campaign throughout the world.

The most exciting sports activity during Visit Nepal 2020 is peak climbing in Nepal for blending your trekking experience with majestic peaks. Peak climbing in Nepal is quite a noble experience that you can hardly forget throughout your lifetime.  Nepal has around 1,310 peaks below 7,000m in height along with 8,000 m including the tallest peak Mount Everest. Among them, the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has opened 326 peaks between 5,000m and 7,000m for peak climbing in Nepal. Nepal trekking peaks are of two categories A and B for which NMA has fixed the peak climbing cost and permits.

The most popular peak climbing in Nepal refers to Island Peak Climbing, Mera Peak Climbing, and Lobuche Peak Climbing in the Everest region. From the summits of these trekking peaks, you can have a 360-degree panoramic view of the mountain giants including Mount Everest. In the Langtang region, you can climb Jugal Himal and Dorje Lakpa for heavenly satisfaction and the most memorable moments of life. Larke Peak climbing in the Manaslu region is newly opened for climbers to capture the mesmerizing outlook of the region.

Annapurna Circuit hosts a few popular mountains for peak climbing in Nepal including Pisang Peak climbing and Chulu East Peak climbing. Similarly, Mardi Himal Peak climbing and Gangapurna Peak climbing are other peaks to relish the spectacular view around the Annapurna region and Dhaulagiri range. Saipal Himal and Api Himal en route to the Great Himalayan Trail are others for peak climbing in Nepal. Nepal Mountaineering Association declares the trekking peaks and peak service charges according to the peaks and seasons. NMA peak service charges are high in the spring season as it is the best season for peak climbing in Nepal. As the temperature in spring is high, there is less chance for snow deposits in the Nepalese Himalayas. Nepal Peak climbing in autumn is less favorable than in spring, so, NMA peak service charges are less in this season. NMA peak service charges in winter are comparatively low as peak climbing in winter is hard due to heavy snowfall. Summer season is not quite the appropriate season for peak climbing in Nepal because it rains cats and dogs in Nepal. Therefore, NMA peak service charges are also low in this season.
